FC Frölunda was one of 100 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Skånecupen 2017. They participated with three teams in Pojkar 15- födda -02 el. senare, Pojkar 16 - födda -01 el. senare and Pojkar Junior - f. -99 el. senare respectively. The team in Pojkar 16 - födda -01 el. senare made it to the the 1/4 Final in Slutspel A, but lost it against Trelleborgs FF 2 by 0-4.
In addition to this, FC Frölunda have participated in Skånecupen before. During Skånecupen 2016, FC Frölunda had two teams playing in Pojkar 14 - födda -02 el. senare and Pojkar 15- födda -01 el. senare respectively. The team in Pojkar 15- födda -01 el. senare made it to the the 1/4 Final in Slutspel A, but lost it against Kulladals FF by 4-5. FC Frölunda comes from Västra Frölunda which lies approximately 240 km from Malmö, where Skånecupen takes place.
