IFK Motala FK made it to Slutspel D after reaching 3:rd place in Group B. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Bälinge IF with 10-11. Thereby IFK Motala FK finished second in P14 Slutspel D during Forwardcupen 2017.

IFK Motala FK comes from Motala which lies approximately 85 km from Örebro, where Forwardcupen takes place. The area around Motala does also provide six additional clubs participating during Forwardcupen 2017 (Ekängens IF, IK Östria Lambohov, IFK Wreta Kloster, Tallboda IF, Malmslätts AIK and Vadstena GIF).
