In addition to Red Sea, 17 other teams played in U9 (Born in 2008). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Red Sea could be found in Group D together with Dandenong City Blue, Williamstown SC U10 Girls, Spring Hills Stallions and Noble Park United.

Red Sea made it to Playoff A after reaching 1:st place in Group D. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against North Geelong Warriors with 1-3. Thereby Red Sea finished second in U9 Playoff A during Australian Football Skool International Tournament 2017.
