IFK Strängnäs P05

IFK Strängnäs was one of 324 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They participated with one team in Pojkar 2005 D2.

In addition to IFK Strängnäs, 69 other teams played in Pojkar 2005 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Strängnäs could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Ystad HK 2, IF Hallby HK, Åhus Handboll 3, Halmstad Handboll 6, Eslövs HF 3, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 3, Lugi HF, Vinslövs HK 1 and IFK Kristianstad 6.

IFK Strängnäs continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against H 78 Sölvesborg with 9-11. In the Final, Kävlinge HK 1 won over H43 Lund 3 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2005 D2.

IFK Strängnäs comes from Strängnäs which lies approximately 420 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Strängnäs does also provide six additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016 (HK Eskil Eskilstuna, Bålsta IF, IF Guif Eskilstuna, Gökstens BK Torshälla, Västerås Irsta HF and Team Hattran).
