Genföreningen was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with one team in Motionsklass Herrar.

In addition to Genföreningen, 59 other teams played in Motionsklass Herrar. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof Genföreningen could be found in Group 9 together with Uma-Ness Från Skåne, Kastberga åkeri, Team Vittorio and Igelösa HK.

Genföreningen made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 9. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Utvecklingsklassen with 11-12. Thereby Genföreningen finished second in MKH A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017.

Genföreningen comes from Lund which lies approximately 75 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
