In addition to Verdal IL, 33 other teams from 4 different countries played in Q - Jenter 11-er, 17 år. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Verdal IL could be found in Group 6 together with Valestrand Hjellvik FK, Ask Fotball, Finnsnes IL and Raufoss Fotball.

Verdal IL made it to Playoff B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 6. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Skeid, which they won with 2-0. Thereby Verdal IL won the entire Playoff B in Q - Jenter 11-er, 17 år during Norway Cup 2016.
