Mormors Lejon was one of 246 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2017. They participated with one team in Herr Motion.

In addition to Mormors Lejon, 41 other teams played in Herr Motion. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof Mormors Lejon could be found in Group 6 together with Loftahammars IF , Armynia and 073-829 97 96 .

Mormors Lejon continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against 073-829 97 96 with 0-1. In the Final, Papi Chulos won over Mårtens Boyz and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Herr Motion.

Mormors Lejon also participated in Herr Motion during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in HM A-Slutspel, but lost it against BSC Täppetcabana with 0-1.

Mormors Lejon comes from Malmö which lies approximately 90 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beach Fotboll takes place. The area around Malmö does also provide 60 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2017 (Among others: Rubens Pågar, Eslövs Betonghåltagning AB, Hökarängen, GIF Nike, Betongkeps & Ågren, Eslövs BK, FC Bellevue, Bär i Pannan, Veberöds AIF and Genarps IF).
