BK Derby was one of 57 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Forwardcupen 2022. They participated with one team in Pojkar 13.

In addition to BK Derby, 16 other teams played in Pojkar 13. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof BK Derby could be found in Group A together with Lillån FK, Hammarö fk, Lekebergs IF and IF Eker Örebro.

BK Derby continued to Slutspel C after reaching 4:th place in Group A. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Våmbs IF with 1-7. In the Final, Hammarö fk won over Våmbs IF and became the winner of Slutspel C in Pojkar 13.

Derby comes from Linköping which lies approximately 100 km from Örebro, where Forwardcupen takes place. Other than BK Derby, the club Svärtinge SK does also originate from the area around Linköping.
