Hönö IS was one of 190 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Skadevi Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Pojkar 13 9-manna.

In addition to Hönö IS, 63 other teams played in Pojkar 13 9-manna. They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof Hönö IS could be found in Group 1 together with Villastadens IF Kristinehamn 1, Hogstorps IF and IFK Skövde FK 1.

Hönö IS continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Ulvåkers IF with 3-5. In the Final, Nesodden IF won over Hermansby IF and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 13 9-manna.

Hönö IS comes from Hönö which lies approximately 150 km from Skövde, where Skadevi Cup takes place. The area around Hönö does also provide 43 additional clubs participating during Skadevi Cup 2016 (Among others: Torslanda IK, Näsets SK, Nol IK, Kärra KIF, Bergums IF, Kållered SK, IFK Fjärås, Hovås Billdal IF, Onsala BK and Kungälvs FF).
