Bäckseda IF was one of 135 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Skadevi Cup 2023. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 14 and Flickor 12 respectively. The team in Pojkar 14 made it to the the 1/16 Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against IFK Skövde Fotboll 2 by 0-2.
In addition to this, Bäckseda IF have participated in Skadevi Cup before. During Skadevi Cup 2022, Bäckseda had two teams playing in Pojkar 13 and Pojkar 15 respectively. Two teams played until 1/8 Final in B-Slutspel; Pojkar 13 lost against IK Zenith vit by 0-2 and Pojkar 15 lost against Täby FK by 0-4. Bäckseda comes from Vetlanda which lies approximately 130 km from Skövde, where Skadevi Cup takes place. The area around Vetlanda does also provide three additional clubs participating during Skadevi Cup 2023 (Nässjö FF, IF Eksjö Fotboll and Eksjö Fotboll).
