Kapellgatans IF was one of 324 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They participated with one team in Motionsklass Herrar.
In addition to Kapellgatans IF, 59 other teams played in Motionsklass Herrar. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof Kapellgatans IF could be found in Group 1 together with Strömberg HC, Markaryd Old Star, Rimbos Föräldrar hjältar and Los Pollos Hermanos. Kapellgatans IF continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Team Andersson with 8-11. In the Final, BK ore won over Grabbarna Grus and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Motionsklass Herrar. Kapellgatans comes from Kristianstad which lies approximately 15 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
