In addition to KFUM Kalmar HK, 31 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof KFUM Kalmar HK could be found in Group 4 together with Kävlingebeach, Upsala IF, Ziggy Pausen, La Bamba, Barbapapporna & jag, Nossebro IF and Näsby Handboll 1.

KFUM Kalmar HK continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Näsby Handboll 2 with 0-5. In the Final, Blom City Acadamy HK won over KSK ULTRAS and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar.
