Lyngby HK was one of two clubs from Denmark that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They participated with one team in Elit Dam.
In addition to Lyngby HK, 7 other teams played in Elit Dam. Lyngby HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Kristianstad HK with 8-13. In the Final, Kristianstad HK won over H 65 Höör and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Elit Dam.
