Upsala IF ÖKH

Upsala IF was one of 324 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar.

In addition to Upsala IF, 31 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Upsala IF could be found in Group 4 together with KFUM Kalmar HK, Kävlingebeach, Ziggy Pausen, La Bamba, Barbapapporna & jag, Nossebro IF and Näsby Handboll 1.

Upsala IF continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Växjö Färg & Staket with 12-13. In the Final, Mormors pojkar won over Lasse spadez and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar.

Upsala comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 480 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016 (Uppsala HK, Enköpings HF, Bålsta IF, KSK ULTRAS, Skånela IF Märsta, Blom City Acadamy HK, Fyrasvenskarendansk, Ventim AB, Rimbos Föräldrar hjältar and Team Roslagen).
