In addition to Önnereds HK Gbg, 43 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Önnereds HK Gbg could be found in Group 4 together with Åhus Handboll 1, Karlskrona Handboll 2, Tollarps IF, Vinslövs HK 2, IFK Kristianstad 4, IF Guif Eskilstuna 1, LVHK Lödde 3, Ystads IF HF 1, Ljunghusens HK 2 and Halmstad Handboll 2.

Önnereds HK Gbg continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Staffanstorps HK with 3-4. In the Final, Alingsås HK 2 won over LVHK Lödde 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
