Karlshamns HF was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 2001 A1 and Flickor 2002 B2 respectively. Two teams played until 1/4 Final in C-Slutspel; Flickor 2002 B2 lost against Vetlanda HF 2 by 6-8 and Pojkar 2001 A1 lost against Ystads IF HF 3 by 10-13.

In addition to this, Karlshamns HF have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016, Karlshamns had two teams playing in Pojkar 2003 C2 and Flickor 2002 B1 respectively. The team in Flickor 2002 B1 made it to the the 1/16 Final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund 3 by 6-13.

Karlshamns comes from Karlshamn which lies approximately 43 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Karlshamn does also provide five additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017 (Vaktmästaren och de andra, Mormors pojkar, Karlshamns Pågarna, H 78 Sölvesborg and Ronneby HK).
