In addition to the two Enköpings teams, 38 other teams played in Herrar Junior 97-99. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Enköpings HF 1 could be found in Group 3 together with Borlänge HK, Rimbo HK Roslagen, Särökometernas HK Särökometerna HJ, HK Malmö/Ljunghusens HK, HK Ankaret Bjärred, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1, Åhus Basket, OV Helsingborg HK and Lugi HF 2.

Enköpings HF 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Huddinge HK Sthlm with 8-13. In the Final, Huddinge HK Sthlm won over IK Sävehof Partille and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Herrar Junior 97-99.
