In addition to HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm, 39 other teams played in Herrar Junior 97-99. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm could be found in Group 1 together with Alingsås HK, Eslövs Ballers, IF Guif Eskilstuna, H43 Lund 2, IFK Kristianstad 2, H 65 Höör 2, Kävlinge HK 1, Enköpings HF 2 and Uppsala HK 2.
HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against HK Ankaret Bjärred with 9-10.
