In addition to Älmhult Handboll, 77 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Älmhult Handboll could be found in Group 4 together with Halmstad Handboll Lallare, IK Bolton Sthlm 2, HK Ankaret Bjärred Lag 3, Norrköpings HK 2, H43 Lund 6, IFK Kristianstad 5, Önnereds HK Gbg 1, Ystads IF HF 5 and IK Lågan Hörby. Älmhult Handboll continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 10:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Staffanstorps HK 1 with 9-10. In the Final, HK Ankaret Bjärred Lag 1 won over HK Eklöven and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2. Älmhult comes from Älmhult which lies approximately 71 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
