In addition to the four Ystads teams, 24 other teams played in Pojkar 2009. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 4 could be found in Group 3 together with H43 Lund HF 3, IFK Kristianstad 1 and Alingsås HK.
Ystads IF HF 4 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 1 with 6-7. In the Final, H43 Lund HF 1 won over Ystads IF HF 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2009. Ystads IF HF also participated in Pojkar 2008 E during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017.
