In addition to the two Lågan Hörby teams, 68 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IK Lågan Hörby 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Lödde Vikings HK, Åhus Handboll 3, Uppsala HK, Sollentuna HK, AIK Handbollsförening 1, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll, Lugi HF 4, Höörs HK H 65 2 and Borlänge HK 4.

IK Lågan Hörby 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Lugi HF 5 with 5-9. In the Final, Vinslövs HK won over H43 Lund HF 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

IK Lågan Hörby also participated in Flickor 2002 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the 1/16 Final in F02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Borlänge HK 3 with 7-9.
