In addition to Älta IF, 78 other teams played in Flickor 2003. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Älta IF could be found in Group 7 together with Växjö HF 1, Råde IL, Höörs HK H 65 F04 2, Tollarps IF, Åhus Handboll 1, Halmstad Handboll 1, Lugi HF 2 and Ystads IF HF 2.

Älta IF continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IF Hallby HK with 6-11. In the Final, Lugi HF 3 won over Huddinge HK Blå and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2003.

Älta IF also participated in Flickor 2003 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/16 Final in F03 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Spånga HK 3 with 4-12.
