They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Team Baksmällan could be found in Group 1 together with Järngänget, Hp warta, Hot shots, Inga förväntningar, Åhus Guldkorn and Övertramp IF. Team Baksmällan continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Team van Stam with 5-15. In the Final, Team van Stam won over Lag Oklart and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Damer. Team Baksmällan comes from linköping which lies approximately 290 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
