They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Åkes Angels could be found in Group 2 together with BK Lundgrens, Vi spelar väl fotboll?, Gott & blandat and IFK Kristianstad Ladies 2. Åkes Angels continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Vikingarna with 6-13. In the Final, Achtung tiere won over IFK Kristianstad Ladies 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Motionsklass Damer. Åkes Angels comes from Nässjö which lies approximately 200 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
