In addition to the two IFK Kristianstad teams, 14 other teams played in Herrar Junior 19-20 år (födda 2002-2003). They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 1 could be found in Group 1 together with HK Silwing-Troja, Dalby GIF, Uppsala HK UHK-04, Åhus Handboll, Halmstad Handboll 1, Tollarps IF 1 and HK Malmö.

IFK Kristianstad 1 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against HK Silwing-Troja, which they won with 15-12. Thereby IFK Kristianstad 1 won the entire A-Slutspel in Herrar Junior 19-20 år (födda 2002-2003) during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022.
