In addition to Ystads IF HF, 35 other teams played in Pojkar 17 år (födda 2006). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF could be found in Group 3 together with Alingsås HK VIT, Lugi HF VINRÖD, HF Karlskrona 1, HK Aranäs, IFK Bankeryd Blå, IFK Kristianstad 1, Uppsala HK 1 and Vinslövs HK.
Ystads IF HF continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against OV Helsingborg HK with 9-11.
