De 9 vännerna & Axel was one of 323 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2016. They participated with one team in Herr Aktiv.

In addition to De 9 vännerna & Axel, 44 other teams played in Herr Aktiv. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof De 9 vännerna & Axel could be found in Group 1 together with Fortuná , Ösjö Blackhawks , Inga gränser , FC Rovdjuren , Harlösa IF , Hyponervokustiskadiafragmakontravibrationer FC and Sko .

De 9 vännerna & Axel continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Vinbergs Krökers with 1-4. In the Final, Yngsjö IF won over Böglarehults IF and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Herr Aktiv.

De 9 vännerna & Axel comes from Alingsås which lies approximately 240 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beach Fotboll takes place. The area around Alingsås does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2016 (Bergdalens IK, Sävedalens IF, FC Glenn, Feskekôrka, Utbynäs SK, Göteborgs elit FC, BK Solstråle, No9, Team Tajtan and Team Rajtan).
