Wä IF was one of 225 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2018. They participated with four teams in Flickor 14 and Mix 8-9 respectively. The team in Flickor 14 made it to the the 1/4 Final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Gärsnäs AIS B by 1-2.
In addition to this, Wä IF have participated in Åhus Beach Fotboll before. During Åhus Beach Fotboll 2017, Wä had 6 teams playing in Pojkar 15, Flickor 13 and Mix 8-9 respectively. The team in Flickor 13 made it to the the Final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Glumslövs FF by 0-3. Wä comes from Kristianstad which lies approximately 16 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beach Fotboll takes place. The area around Kristianstad does also provide 82 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2018 (Among others: Löjligt Viktigt Möte, Strandängens IF, Vattenpojkarna, Dynamo WetWilly, Bolltrollarna, BØRNES MAGASIN, Nejtack FC, Vi anmälde oss på fyllan, Bois FC and Kristianstad FC).
