Motståndarlaget was one of 229 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2023. They participated with one team in Herr Senior Öppen/Förening.

In addition to Motståndarlaget, 47 other teams played in Herr Senior Öppen/Förening. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Motståndarlaget could be found in Group 5 together with MFU , Honnfjället FC , FC Långhylsa , Kongens Elit , FörstaFemman , Sam-hall FC and C4 Kakelmontören .

Motståndarlaget continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Gacke DK with 1-2. In the Final, Gacke DK won over Stoffes Slavar and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Herr Senior Öppen/Förening.

Motståndarlaget comes from Häljarp which lies approximately 87 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beach Fotboll takes place. The area around Häljarp does also provide 47 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2023 (Among others: Häljarps IF, första klass, Kvarnby IK, ABZOLUT, Systembo Laget, Dalby GIF, Torpets Finest, Lunds FF, Svalövs BK and Asmundtorps IF).
