In addition to Åmåls IBK, 25 other teams played in Pojkar 02. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Åmåls IBK could be found in Group D together with IBF Norrköping, Växjö IBK Vipers 2, Skövde IBF and Varla IBK.

Åmåls IBK made it to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group D. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Warberg IBF 2, which they won with 2-1. Thereby Åmåls IBK won the entire Slutspel B in Pojkar 02 during Warbergsspelen 2016.
