Varla IBK was one of 109 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Warbergsspelen 2017. They participated with 7 teams in Pojkar 07, Pojkar 06, Pojkar 05, Pojkar 03, Flickor 06 and Flickor 05 respectively. The team in Pojkar 03 made it to the the 1/8 Final in Slutspel B, but lost it against Sandareds IBS 1 by 3-4.

In addition to this, Varla IBK have participated in Warbergsspelen before. During Warbergsspelen 2016, Varla IBK had 10 teams playing in Pojkar 07, Pojkar 05, Pojkar 04, Pojkar 03, Pojkar 02, Flickor 06 and Flickor 05 respectively. The team in Pojkar 02 made it to the the Final in Slutspel A, but lost it against Växjö IBK Vipers 2 by 5-6.

Varla IBK comes from KUNGSBACKA which lies approximately 43 km from Varberg, where Warbergsspelen takes place. The area around KUNGSBACKA does also provide 29 additional clubs participating during Warbergsspelen 2017 (Among others: Utbynäs SK, IBF Backadalen, IBF Göteborg, Hisingskärra IBK, Landvetter IBK, ÅSA IF, Partille IBS (Wizards) F06/F07, Landvetter Wings, Varla IBK, Fjärås and Tofta GIF).
