In addition to Wårgårda IBK, 27 other teams played in Pojkar 04. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Wårgårda IBK could be found in Group F together with Hovshaga AIF 2, Onsala IBK 2 and Partille IBS 1.

Wårgårda IBK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group F. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Träslövsläge IF with 2-5. In the Final, Träslövsläge IF won over IBK Alingsås and became the winner of Slutspel A in Pojkar 04.

Wårgårda IBK comes from Vårgårda which lies approximately 110 km from Varberg, where Warbergsspelen takes place. The area around Vårgårda does also provide six additional clubs participating during Warbergsspelen 2017 (IBK ALINGSÅS, Borås IBF, Floda Ibk, Sandareds IBS, Lindås IBK and Fristad GoIF Innebandysektionen P06).
