Vara IBK was one of 113 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Warbergsspelen 2018. They participated with one team in Pojkar 01.

In addition to Vara IBK, 8 other teams played in Pojkar 01. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Vara IBK could be found in Group A together with Åby IBK, Rydboholms SK, IBK Landskrona and IBK Tygriket 99.

Vara IBK made it to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group A. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Fröjereds IF, which they won with 4-1. Thereby Vara IBK won the entire Slutspel A in Pojkar 01 during Warbergsspelen 2018.

Vara IBK comes from Stora Levene which lies approximately 140 km from Varberg, where Warbergsspelen takes place. The area around Stora Levene does also provide four additional clubs participating during Warbergsspelen 2018 (IBK Vänersborg, IBK Elfhög, Wårgårda IBK and IBK Vänersborg/Torshälla IBK).
