IBK Kungälv was one of 112 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Warbergsspelen 2023. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 10 (Född 2010) and Pojkar 09 (Född 2009) respectively. Two teams played until Final in Slutspel B; Pojkar 10 (Född 2010) lost against Warberg IBF 1 by 2-6 and Pojkar 09 (Född 2009) lost against Floda IBK by 1-2.

In addition to this, IBK Kungälv have participated in Warbergsspelen before. During Warbergsspelen 2022, IBK Kungälv had two teams playing in Pojkar 10 (Född 2010) and Pojkar 08 (Född 2008) respectively. The team in Pojkar 08 (Född 2008) made it to the the Final in Slutspel B, but lost it against Dotteviks IF by 1-2.

IBK Kungälv comes from Ytterby which lies approximately 85 km from Varberg, where Warbergsspelen takes place. The area around Ytterby does also provide 28 additional clubs participating during Warbergsspelen 2023 (Among others: Floda IBK, IK Zenith, Ale IBF, IBF Älvstranden, Landvetter IBK Wings, Landvetter Wings, Kärra IBK, FBC Partille, Pixbo Wallenstam and Pixbo Wallenstam IBK).
