IFK Mariestad was one of 190 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Skadevi Cup 2016. They participated with 5 teams in Pojkar 12, Pojkar 13 9-manna, Pojkar 14, Pojkar 15 and Pojkar 16-17 respectively. The team in Pojkar 15 made it to the the Bronze match in A-slutspel, but lost it against Ängby IF by 1-4.
In addition to this, IFK Mariestad have participated in Skadevi Cup before. During Skadevi Cup 2015, IFK Mariestad had two teams playing in Pojkar 12 and Pojkar 14 respectively. The team in Pojkar 14 made it to the the 1/8 Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against Tidaholms Gif by 4-5. IFK Mariestad comes from Mariestad which lies approximately 31 km from Skövde, where Skadevi Cup takes place.
