Örgryte IS was one of 190 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Skadevi Cup 2016. They participated with three teams in Pojkar 13 9-manna and Pojkar 14 respectively. The team in Pojkar 13 9-manna made it to the the Bronze match in A-slutspeland won it over Villastadens IF Kristinehamn 1 by 6-5.
In addition to this, Örgryte IS have participated in Skadevi Cup before. During Skadevi Cup 2015, Örgryte IS had 5 teams playing in Pojkar 13 11-manna, Pojkar 14, Pojkar 15 and Pojkar 16 respectively. The team in Pojkar 15 made it to the the Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against IFK Skövde FK by 1-4. Örgryte IS comes from Göteborg which lies approximately 140 km from Skövde, where Skadevi Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 48 additional clubs participating during Skadevi Cup 2016 (Among others: Stenkullen GoIK, Torslanda IK, Näsets SK, Nol IK, Floda BOIF, Kärra KIF, Bergums IF, Kållered SK, IFK Fjärås and Hovås Billdal IF).
