Gideonsbergs IF was one of 190 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Skadevi Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Pojkar 15.

In addition to Gideonsbergs IF, 23 other teams played in Pojkar 15. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Gideonsbergs IF could be found in Group 2 together with Skövde AIK, Ängby IF and Munkedals IF.

Gideonsbergs IF made it to A-slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Nesodden IF with 1-4. Thereby Gideonsbergs IF finished second in P15 A-slutspel during Skadevi Cup 2016.

Gideonsbergs IF also participated in Pojkar 14 during Skadevi Cup 2015. They reached the final in A-slutspel, but lost it against Bele Barkarby FF with 0-3 and ended up in second place.

Gideonsbergs comes from Västerås which lies approximately 200 km from Skövde, where Skadevi Cup takes place. The area around Västerås does also provide four additional clubs participating during Skadevi Cup 2016 (Forsby FF, Torshälla Nyby IS, Fanna BK and Köping FF).
