Älvsborg FF was one of 166 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Skadevi Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Pojkar 14.

In addition to Älvsborg FF, 49 other teams played in Pojkar 14. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof Älvsborg FF could be found in Group 4 together with Jönköpings Södra IF Grön, Tibro AIK FK/Fagersanna IF and Floby-Grolanda.

Älvsborg FF continued to A-slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Torslanda IK with 0-3. In the Final, Katrineholms SK won over BK Häcken and became the winner of A-slutspel in Pojkar 14.

Älvsborg comes from Västra Frölunda which lies approximately 140 km from Skövde, where Skadevi Cup takes place. The area around Västra Frölunda does also provide 37 additional clubs participating during Skadevi Cup 2018 (Among others: Lindome GIF, Hjuviks AIK, Onsala BK, Älvsborgs FF, Azalea BK, Qviding FIF, IK Kongahälla, Kållered SK, Kullavik IF and Floda Boif).
