In addition to Div2podden, 31 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Div2podden could be found in Group 2 together with Motståndarna, Växjö Färg & Staket, Böffes jr, Alpha Hanarna, Näsby Handboll 2, Ursäkta? and KSK ULTRAS. Div2podden continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Näsby Handboll 1 with 7-16. In the Final, Mormors pojkar won over Lasse spadez and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar. Div2podden comes from Alingsås which lies approximately 250 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Alingsås does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016 (Among others: Flensborg, Redbergslids IK Gbg, Grabbarna Grus, Kungälvs HK, InTeern, Sörhaga HK, IK Baltichov Gbg, Eslövslågan, Bobby Bannister and Kärra HF Göteborg). 8 games playedGoals |
