In addition to the two Staffanstorps teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Staffanstorps HK 1 could be found in Group 4 together with LUGI HF 2, Trelleborg HBK 1, LVHK Lödde 1, H 65 Höör 1, IFK Bankeryd 1, Alingsås HK 1, Tyresö Handboll, Raklev G&I, Danmark and Skuru IK Sthlm 2.

Staffanstorps HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm with 7-11. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm won over Kärra HF Göteborg and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
