In addition to the two IFK Bankeryd teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Bankeryd 1 could be found in Group 4 together with LUGI HF 2, Trelleborg HBK 1, LVHK Lödde 1, H 65 Höör 1, Staffanstorps HK 1, Alingsås HK 1, Tyresö Handboll, Raklev G&I, Danmark and Skuru IK Sthlm 2.

IFK Bankeryd 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 3 with 5-10. In the Final, Åhus Handboll 3 won over Åhus Handboll 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
