In addition to the two IFK Bankeryd teams, 64 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 B2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Bankeryd 1 could be found in Group 5 together with IK Bolton Sthlm 2, Kävlinge HK 2, Kristianstad HK 2, GF Kroppskultur Uddevalla, H43 Lund 1, Ystads IF HF 2, Önnereds HK Gbg 1 and Uppsala HK 3.

IFK Bankeryd 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Växjö HF 2 with 5-11. In the Final, Rimbo HK Roslagen won over Växjö HF 2 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 B2.
