In addition to the two Kävlinge teams, 64 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 B2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK 2 could be found in Group 5 together with IK Bolton Sthlm 2, Kristianstad HK 2, GF Kroppskultur Uddevalla, H43 Lund 1, Ystads IF HF 2, Önnereds HK Gbg 1, Uppsala HK 3 and IFK Bankeryd 1.

Kävlinge HK 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Eksjö BK with 12-14. In the Final, Ystads IF HF 2 won over Eksjö BK and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 B2.
