In addition to the two Bolton Sthlm teams, 64 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 B2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IK Bolton Sthlm 2 could be found in Group 5 together with Kävlinge HK 2, Kristianstad HK 2, GF Kroppskultur Uddevalla, H43 Lund 1, Ystads IF HF 2, Önnereds HK Gbg 1, Uppsala HK 3 and IFK Bankeryd 1.

IK Bolton Sthlm 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IK Sund Helsingborg with 7-15. In the Final, Halmstad Handboll 2 won over Uppsala HK 3 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 B2.
