Gold medal! Won the entire B-Slutspel! Congratulations!

In addition to the three Åhus teams, 64 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 3 could be found in Group 6 together with IK Lågan Hörby 2, Växjö HF, Alingsås HK 2, Näsby Handboll 2, Uppsala HK 1, Borlänge HK 3, Ystads IF HF 2, AIK Handbollsförening and Vinslövs HK.

Åhus Handboll 3 made it to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 6. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Åhus Handboll 1, which they won with 12-9. Thereby Åhus Handboll 3 won the entire B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
