They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll could be found in Group 3 together with Wild Ones, InTeern, "Vi har också mutat domaren", BK Halvmiss, Falköpings AIK HK, Ellisarna med flera and Halmstad Handboll.

Åhus Handboll continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Uffes Brudar with 8-10. In the Final, Uffes Brudar won over IK Lågan Hörby and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Damer.
