In addition to the 5 Åhus teams, 65 other teams played in Pojkar 2004 C1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 4 could be found in Group 5 together with Hammarby IF Sthlm, Karlskrona Handboll 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, Halmstad Handboll 2, Eslövs HF 2, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm, IFK Bankeryd 1, Staffanstorps HK and Alingsås HK 2.

Åhus Handboll 4 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 with 6-8. In the Final, IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 won over Åhus Handboll 5 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2004 C1.
