In addition to the two IFK Bankeryd teams, 68 other teams played in Pojkar 2004 C1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Bankeryd 1 could be found in Group 5 together with Åhus Handboll 4, Hammarby IF Sthlm, Karlskrona Handboll 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, Halmstad Handboll 2, Eslövs HF 2, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm, Staffanstorps HK and Alingsås HK 2.

IFK Bankeryd 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Rimbo HK Roslagen with 6-9. In the Final, Ystads IF HF 2 won over Ronneby HK 1 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2004 C1.
