Silver medal! Reached second place in B-Slutspel

In addition to the three Åhus teams, 64 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 1 could be found in Group 7 together with Kristianstad HK 2, Uppsala HK 2, Trelleborg HBK 2, H 65 Höör 2, Huddinge HK Sthlm, Skuru IK Sthlm 3, H 78 Sölvesborg and Karlshamns HF.

Åhus Handboll 1 made it to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 7. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 3 with 9-12. Thereby Åhus Handboll 1 finished second in F02 B-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
