In addition to the two Trelleborg teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Trelleborg HBK 2 could be found in Group 7 together with Kristianstad HK 2, Uppsala HK 2, Åhus Handboll 1, H 65 Höör 2, Huddinge HK Sthlm, Skuru IK Sthlm 3, H 78 Sölvesborg and Karlshamns HF.

Trelleborg HBK 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Tumba Sthlm 2 with 6-10. In the Final, Åhus Handboll 3 won over Åhus Handboll 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
